MARIA KOSHENKOVA

MARIA+KOSHENKOVA

Glass artist working between Copenhagen and St. Petersburg. I blow and sculpt glass into bodies that hang, lean and press against the rooms they are placed in. The work is made for the space it stands in, not for a plinth.

I'M SORRY, THIS SPACE IS RESERVED

2024

Suspended glass bodies hang in the vaulted nave of a former church, held by dyed rope under tension. The room is not a container for the work: the arches, the light and the height are part of it.
